Choosing a recording studio can be a tough decision for up and coming artists. You need to be sure that you’ll get a great sound without blowing your budget. Artists usually have to take a punt when choosing a studio, and results vary- sometimes everything goes according to plan but often the end product is not quite how you wanted it. Also, it is very common for recording, mixing and mastering to go on for too long, blowing the budget.
Rockso’s is a home studio I run in Montrose in Melbourne’s Eastern Suburbs. I do BS-free recording for $25 an hour using Pro Tools LE 7. My mission is to get you out the door as fast as possible with the sound that you are after. That said, what you do in the studio is completely up to you and whilst I may offer a few “chestnuts” of advice, I will not tell you what to do. I try to put myself in the artists shoes when recording.
